WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT HER?

We were on our way to the Main Office of the Tio Juan Foundation here in the city to take care of some quick business when the thought occurred to us: we should do something to show appreciation for the Foundation´s executive secretary.  Leidi Morales communicates with each of the 3 schools whose students we serve, and also with the Tio Juan Home (orphanage).  She is also our Problem Solver In-Chief.  We honestly could not do much of anything without her.  

So we stopped by our favorite outdoor flower shop on the corner, told them what we had in mind, and within 5 minutes we had a beautiful arrangement of fresh dahlias and greens ready for delivery.  Above is a pic of our friendly florist putting things together for us. And there is always time for some Guatemala-style banter while the gentlemen are working.  

Within a few minutes of leaving the florist we had arrived at the Office and presented the flowers to Leidi, along with our thanks for all she does for us.  I think she was a bit surprised. On our way out we popped in to say hello to Tio Juan himself and the Home´s attorney Licenciado Enrique, promising to bring them something next time...maybe a candy bar or popsicle 😊😊.
